How do I get rid of a computer virus that blocks certain websites that is affecting my whole network?

try kaspersky.. get the trial version n remove it or buy a license key..

run an up to date anti virus on all systems on your network

You should use Kaspersky antivirus along with malwarebytes and superantispyware programs. You should always update these security softwares before start the scanning process.

You can get rid of this issue, by following these steps .
1 Restart your computer in safe mode.
2 Download and install Hijackthis .
3 And scan your computer with this remove all files which are associated with malicious programs .

Now some of these rogue programs are very tricky and will make it so you cannot run your security programs or will not let you download and install them. Here are two links that will explain how to get around this with MBAM and be successful downloading, installing, and running the program: and

Once your computer is clean and working normally just to be on the safe side turn off system restore and wait 30 seconds, turn it back on and create a new restore point. This way it gets rid of anything bad that might have gotten saved in a restore point and you have a clean restore point to use in the near future if needed.

Make sure you are not connected to the internet, run your computer in safe mode, and run your anti-virus program.
If you still have no luck then you should try using a new anti-virus program.
