I am sick to death of all these ads on my computer. Sometimes they get in the way of what I’m try to do . I want them gone forever. I have good Yahoo spyware so don’t need any kind of spyware remover. Also I don’t need any scaning program. Is there a free adware removal only program available?

too good to be true asked: I was working on my pc & went online to look for a journal from a reference in an article. Suddenly this window from MS internet exp. pops up saying if my pc has been running slow than normal, it’s infected – actually it is! Then asks me to download malware destructor. I clicked ok & another window from internet security center quickly scans and tells me my security status is low;gives a list: firewall, personal info, phishing, spam,Web Browser,Malware protection,Wireless protection all in danger except 2 with medium security. On the page was my pc detail: IP, location, OS, browser & warns me that “Trojan.Chunchon.Keylogger” is the latest threat for Users in this country, especially from my city. I am not sure what to do.I am caught btw doing it & rejecting. Please help!

I am pretty knowledgeable with computers and I figured my downloads would catch up to me someday, and I finally got a virus. I was pretty sure I quarantined them when they flashed on my screen, but the next time I went to boot the computer (windows xp pro) the computer gets to the wallpaper, and then stops…no icons, nothing…..I’ve tried safe mode and it just gets to the black screen with the words “safe mode” in all the corners…but no icons. I’ve tried using my Windows XP disc to do a repair, and it always prompts me for my administrator password…I swear I’ve never entered a password for this computer before, but it wants one…nothing I enter takes, and it only gives you 3 tries. I’ve been pulling my hair out trying to find free virus scanners/removers you can run on a boot, but everything I’ve found doesn’t seem to work. I tried this F-Prot thing, but it only seems to want to scan Q drive, which I don’t even have! Please help me figure this out/formating is not an option
does no one read the details of my post before they answer? I’ve stated I can’t get into the windows environment! therefor, no running of traditional anti-virus software…I need something I can run through like a command prompt

I’ve used Privacy Defender 4 several times to clean out most of it, but there is some spyware/adware that still survives. I can see it on my computer when it boots up, clogging up my system, and there are mysterious ads that are sent to my computer when I’m online.
