I believe it’s a boot sector/partition or MBRvirus & that’s why I managed to remove it from a Hard Disk & Floppy Disks. Flash disks doesn’t seem to have a boot sector or partition. How do you then remove the virus? Where does the virus hibbernet if there is no partition MBR?

I was looking at my mom’s computer and saw a computer monitoring software in her favorites, due to the fact that I am a teenager and have conversations with my friends that aren’t necessary for a parent to see, I need to know how to counter this software. Firstly, I need to know how to password protect my computer from starting, this includes entering the administer account via safe mode (my computer is a Windows XP). Secondly, I need to know whatever else I need to know.

Keep in mind that I don’t view explicit materials and/or talk to creeps, I just don’t want my mom viewing my conversations. And this software takes screenshots of EVERYTHING and logs all typing.
